cleaning oil decanters?
Can and should oil decanters be cleaned? I have one for cooking oils and one for olive oil. I tried to soak them in soapy water and the oil just seemed to "glop" in the bottle. Will the oil get ransid if not cleaned out from time to time? Can I still use my oil bottles now that I have tried to clean them in soapy water?
I use warm water, uncooked rice and a drop of soap and shake the bottle until the oil is off the sides, dissolved and pour it out, rinse and repeat if necessary, it works for me
