What has happened to my new shower?
Just got a new Mira shower 3 days ago, and its worked fine up until this morning.
During my shower the water simply stopped, and now no water at all will come out
The power switch(chord) on the wall is on and the power button on the actual shower is lit up too so the shower appears to be getting power..
We dont have hard water here and i doubt the filter could be blocked in 3 days...
any ideas.thanks in advance
It just went back on again and then switched off after a minute or 2
Im wondering, we have low flow problems in this area and wa thinking could this shower auto switch off if water is low flow
Try unscrewing the shower head, hold the chrome or white section attached to the hose and turn it anti clockwise away from the shower head,(be careful not to lose the black rubber washes from inside the shower head) lay the hose in the bath or shower tray, making sure it is not going top soak the floor if water does come out, turn temp setting to cold and flow setting (if fitted) to low, then try switching on, if this has no effect then refit the shower head back onto hose and either call out the firm who fitted the shower, or if you diy, the call mira, details will be on your warranty, they are very helpful and will advise any further steps to take, or will send out one of there engineers to see what the problem is.
If water comes out, slowly increase the temp, if the shower stays on refit the head and try using it again as normal to see what happens, may be a blockage or a temp safety cut out fault or a faulty pressure gauge
If you are in a low pressure area the peeps who fitted the shower or you if diy should have done a pressure test on main to check it was enough to operate the shower.
