Will drinking excessive water help flush out caffeine from system?
Question asks it all pretty much. Basically, I'm addicted to caffeine, but I can't seem to quit it overall.... I usually make it 3-4 days into it, and then I need some drink. They said it takes usually about two weeks. If I stopped drinking caffeine, and drank a TON (not literally) of water, would it speed up the process?
Please provide a reason so I know you're not just saying no for the sake of 2 points. :/
Caffeine is the most commonly consumed drug in the world. However it does not take two weeks to get rid of it. a few hours after it is consumed it is dispelled from the body. As a suggestion to help quit your caffeine 'addiction', drink water when you get these cravings. If you drink too much water you will over hydrate and cause damage to your body i.e. bursting of cells. i doubt think drinking water would help push it out but im not a doctor. good luck with kicking it.
