In the past I used a combined method of getting rid of dust inside my desktop computer with air, and vacuum using the brush extension on the end. I have been told you need a special electronic vacuum to do this because the regular vacuum can build up static electricity discharge (or something). A friend told me to always use a regular vacuum. So I tried it and really do not make direct contact with the motherboard, but only used in cables, power supply, the walls case and the heatsink fan on the CPU. I use the air can blow dust from the motherboard itself. So whadda ya think? If I do it this way, I still risk damaging the computer, so you should buy one of those mini "empty" instead? Because the fan can not get rid of dust. Just blowing somewhere otherwise in the box and into the surrounding soil.
