installed vance and hines havent remap fuel injection yet but notice rear exhaust get red at after flange area when idle for 10 minutes is that norm.
These engines are set up with mixtures on the lean side from the factory, and installing less restrictive exhaust effectively leaned the mixture even more. You are running far too lean now, with high cylinder and exhaust temperatures, which can lead to internal engine damage (burned valves, burned/holed pistons, broken rings, etc.). I highly recommend that you either install a Power Commander III with an appropriate map for your setup or a Harley Screaming Eagle Race Tuner (which you will need to get calibrated for your setup on a dyno). Remedy this situation before you have a problem. Oh yeah, one more thing - this is an air-cooled engine, and idling it for 10 minutes, without cooling airflow moving over it, is really not good for it, and can easily lead to overheating and associated engine damage - keep that bike moving, minimize idling time.
