question about problem with filter queen vacuum cleaner?
my majestic triple crown vacuum cleaner is throwing sparks out the top when i turn it on. can not use it as am afraid it will catch on fire, if you are knowledgable about this sweeper what is the problem? Is it easy to fix or expensive as i do not have much moeny but love the sweeper, will company fix this sweeper since it is a fire hazard?
Electric motors in vacuums use parts called "brushes." They are spring loaded pieces of soft metal which keep contact with the rotating armature of the motor to provide continuity with the electricity source. When they wear out, the bare metal from their tabs makes sparks fly and sometimes stops the motor from working. They are inexpensive and fairly easy to replace. If you can do it yourself you will save considerable $$$.
