Which vacuum cleaner is better?
I'm trying to buy a new vacuum that won't die on me. I've narrowed it down to two choices - Miele S163 Universal Upright Stick Vacuum Cleaner ($300), Dyson DC24 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner ($400). I've had the Hoover S2220 Flair Bagless Upright Stick Vacuum with Power Nozzle ($58) for a little over a year and it's already dying (shuts off after 5 minutes of vacuuming, losing suction power). Can anyone offer some advice on the dyson and miele... or if there is a better lightweight vacuum out there (not looking for a canister vacuum).
Thanks!
I have the Eureka Boss SmartVac and I love it! Consumer Reports rated it a Best Buy over Dyson. I've had it for 4 1/2 years, and it still works great, even with a husband in construction, kids, and pets. The suction is great, both from the beater bar and the accessory hose, and the beater bar has a switch to turn it off so you can use it on any type of flooring. I've used a lot of vacuums (I clean houses) and I wouldn't buy anything else again. It's fairly lightweight, and affordable, about $140 at Wal-Mart. Hope this helps. Good luck!
