how many 6 button power cords can I safely attach to a regular electric outlet (2 openings)?
That is, if I connect 2 power cords, can I connect a 3rd power cord to one of those connected. They would be used for computers, printers, cd player and lamps.
Chances are that you are plugging in to a 15 amp circuit,(living room, family room bedroom etc).
Kitchens are 20 amp and depending on how old the house is there may be a few more 20 amp circuits as well.
Now as far as plugging in to a power strip and then having so many cords that you need more, as long as you are plugging in things that do not require a lot of power you should be fine. Do not plug in heaters, or anything that pulls a great amount of watts in to this.
I would make sure that your plug in strips have the built in reset that will trip within the strip before it does blow fuse or breaker.
When leaving the home I would turn off anything that is not needed to be on, while you are gone.
