Does anyone know why my vacuum smell so bad?
My bagless vacuum is about 1 year old. We changed our HEPA filter and filter back into the trap dirt, cleaning sponge washable with instructions. Recently, the machine suddenly smells really bad, like a corpse is found within the machine. Anyone with a solution?
Most vacuums have a rotating brush powered by a rubber ring that connects the motor. If the rotating brush is jammed, the ring will turn with the brush friction. This creates a lot of friction, heating the rubber ring. When burning rubber, it smells really bad. If your roller brush is not rotating, spinning or too slow, then the rubber ring is on fire.
