This is the ALPINE XL-15 AIR PURIFIER. It is not an "air filter" but actually cleans and sanitizes the air. It is used and in great condition. It has the dark simulated walnut wood case. Will look good in any room of your house. It comes with a 9 1/2 foot power cord so you can easily put it where you need it. This model has 2 ozone generator plates so you can get the maximum coverage of 1600 square feet. Inside is a RF (radio frequency) ionizer that charges air-borne particulates and makes them attract to each other and precipitate (fall out) of the air. That takes care of the bigger stuff. For the smaller air contaminants like smoke, fumes, and odors the ozone will actually "oxidize" those for clean, pure air. Ozone is "O3" meaning it had three molecules of oxygen compared to regular oxygen "O2". When ozone encounters air-borne contaminants one of the molecules is used to oxidize (burn up) the contaminant leaving pure O2. The XL-15 is great for removing pet odors, smoke, chemical smells, mold, mildew, construction odors especially new construction. Just a wide variety of uses and applications. Great for dorms, rent houses, teenager's rooms, basements, cellars, and even cars and trucks. You can put it in the vehicle with the air conditioning on and it will remove all those musty odors from your system. It will eliminate cigarette smells from that car you've just bought or one you are trying to sell. Great for allergy sufferers. Dust mites are everywhere, everybody has them. The dust mites are not the problem but their droppings that have an enzyme that cause the allergic reactions. You can put your XL-15 under the top sheet on your bed (make a tent) and it will sanitize your bed. There are tons of other uses too! Sold originally for $500.00 + dollars. A great investment that once you have one, you will ALWAYS have one! Don't believe it? Just turn it off for a day or so and you will realize just how bad the air is in your house!
