This unit comes with a base. Use the base for extra height; or simply take it out and place unit on counter. Photos no. 1 to 4 above show system with base. Photo no. 5 shows unit without base to save space.
To make shipping more economical, the unit comes partially assembled. So, some minor assembly is required. Simply follow the instruction in the box

FILTER INFORMATION:
1. STAGE 1 - MICRO CERAMIC FILTER is a new and improved filter constructed with pore size of only 0.9 micron. The micro-ceramic filter is great for use in areas where chlorinated tap water, rainwater and ground water sources are prevalent. Clinical tests have shown the ceramic filter Effectively Eliminates 99% to 100% of most Water-Borne Disease Agents or Microorganisms (i.e. Bacteria and Parasites). When water flows through this piece, the contaminants are trapped in the pore space allowing clean water to pass through the ceramic pores and falls into the 2 nd stage filter.
