What do you know about air purifiers?
Looking for an air purifier. Saw one at Target that never needs a filter change - you just empty when its dirty. I would like to buy it so that I have to buy filters continuously, but this work and others? Forgot her name, but if anyone has this can you tell me about your experience with it? Also all announced that they have "quiet operation" But which ones are really quiet? Can anyone recommend a good one?
I tried several and I have 2. I have the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze and a job well done in a smaller room. You must clean the collection plates with a damp paper towel about once every 7-10 days (only takes a few minutes.) I have a Oreck XL with Silent Technology and seems to work better. You have to rinse the filter when the little light comes on to indicate that it is dirty. There are 3 settings fan and may have the ionizer on or off. I have one in my bedroom because of my allergies and night set in silence. Still be heard but is very quiet and not disturb my sleep.
