Smelly house; how can I make my house air fresher without spending a fortune on a high end air purifier?
I have two dogs. At our old place, I could open the windows and let the house "air" to get rid of the stale smell that I still detect even though we bathe them every week. At our new house, however, we have storm windows that don't open! I could spend $600 on a good air purifier, but I don't really need an air PURIFIER, just something to make the air a little fresher and not smell so stale and doggish. Any ideas?? (Besides sprays...they give me migraines.) Thanks!
I have 2 cats and 1 big dog who likes to nap on the living room furniture. About once a week, I wipe the furniture off using a dampened microfiber cloth and white vinegar. It only takes a minute and makes a huge difference. Regularly clean the carpets or rugs and bath the dogs regularly to minimize the doggy odors. They are probably the dirtiest family members we have, but they are family!
